Rights & Obligations of Investors

What you are entitled to, what is expected of you, and what we owe you — in plain language.

Your rights

  • To know our registration status and that our services consist of guidance incidental to our mutual fund distribution services, within the regulatory framework.
  • To receive the SID, SAI, KIM, Riskometer, addenda, factsheets and risk disclosures issued by the AMC.
  • To have a scheme's objectives, costs and risks explained before investing.
  • To have your risk profile recorded, assessed and explained, and to be informed if a requested scheme does not match it.
  • To receive transaction confirmations, account statements and the half-yearly Consolidated Account Statement.
  • To know the commission we earn on Regular Plans (Direct Plans are available from the AMC/RTA and are not distributed by us).
  • To register a nominee, or record opting out, for each folio.
  • To place, stop, pause or redeem transactions on your own instruction.
  • To fair, transparent and professional service under SEBI regulations and the AMFI Code of Conduct.
  • To access, correct and withdraw consent over your personal data.
  • To raise a grievance and receive acknowledgment within 3 working days and resolution within 15, with escalation to SEBI SCORES and SMART ODR.

Your obligations

  • Complete KYC and keep PAN, bank, contact, tax and nomination details accurate and current.
  • Provide accurate information about objectives, finances and risk tolerance during profiling.
  • Read all scheme-related documents before investing.
  • Pay only the concerned AMC, from your registered bank account — never the distributor or any individual.
  • Never hand over signed blank forms, cheques or slips; never share OTPs, passwords or card details.
  • Review statements and the CAS regularly and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Tell us about material changes so your risk profile stays current.
  • Ignore tips and offers from unverified channels, forwards and unknown callers.

What we owe you

  • Honest, fair, transparent conduct under SEBI regulations and the AMFI Code of Conduct.
  • Relevant scheme information with risks and costs disclosed.
  • Transactions only on your instruction — no discretion over your investments.
  • Commission disclosed; no separate distribution fee charged to you.
  • No promises or guarantees of any return, ever.
  • Confidentiality of your information under the DPDP Act, 2023.
  • Valid certification and EUIN for everyone engaged in distribution.
  • Investor and complaint records maintained, grievances tracked to closure, and material changes communicated.
